Freak Out! (Part 1 of 3)

Okay, actually, let's not. But I have been on the verge of a break down several times since we got the Bub.

Water damage. The phrase sends a shiver down my spine even as I write it. Wait, that might be my wet hair... But the thought of the Bub having water damage, and therefore the potential to grow mold and contaminate our only safe bubble, is terrifying. So when Mom and I met with four water leaks in the past nine months, every time my first instinct was panic.

The forerunner of the quartet occurred the night we moved in. The water lines under the galley (kitchen) counter dripped in steady rhythm. I was so exhausted, I didn't have the energy to stress about it. I just helped Mom mop up the water and collapsed into bed. The dealership fixed tightened the loose pipe joint the next day, and we relaxed again.

A few nights later, and our first night out in the wide world, the galley pipes began to cry again because the water pressure was too great.

I cried too.

Thankfully, we were only minutes from the dealership, and the next morning the awesome technicians replaced all the PVC with higher quality piping. Even three quarters of a year later, though, Mom and I still keep a watchful eye on the water pressure.

  1. Aw, sorry to hear that. I know the phrase feeling because we were just starting to stress while moving. But now we are safe and tucked away!
